Though there are many question marks about Kate Middleton right now, especially what led to the “abdominal procedure” that will keep her away until after Easter, there’s some news that royal fans might find interesting.
Reports say that the Princess of Wales’ first official event since her surgery is set for June 8.
On this date, Kate will review Trooping the Colour, just a week before the main celebration happens. A statement from the official Household Division website says: “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is similar to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, except that more mounted officers ride when His Majesty is present.”
“Over 1400 soldiers from the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery will take part, including 400 musicians from Massed Bands who will parade on Horse Guards for this second formal Review.”
Having a specific date for Kate’s return could help ease worries among those who have been concerned due to limited updates since she had surgery.
There has been lots of speculation lately about whether Kate’s health might be worse than what has been shared by the Palace. They even had to release a statement confirming their earlier claims that everything is fine with her recovery and assuring everyone she was “doing well.”
Still, not having much information available has allowed rumors to spread quickly.
Adding to this situation is that no one had seen or photographed Kate since Christmas until yesterday when she was spotted in a car with her mother outside Windsor Castle.
This photo marked her first public appearance in 70 days! This sparked new waves of speculation despite efforts from the Royal Family over recent days trying to calm royal fans down by saying she’s just recovering privately without cameras around.
Let’s all wish Kate Middleton well as she heals! It’s great news she’s getting better and has a date planned for returning to royal duties.
