A woman goes bankrupt due to her dishonest ex-husband, and years later she finds him working as a parking attendant at a restaurant.
Jenny Carlson, 45, was married for twenty-seven years. Most of that time was spent joyfully raising her kids while Jenny believed her husband truly cared for her.
But Brad had changed. While Jenny focused on their children and home, Brad was busy making lots of money.
He often said, “Jenny, we’re partners, 50/50 and don’t forget it! I couldn’t be this successful without you.” Jenny trusted him and thought he would be as truthful with her as she was with him.
It’s hard to pinpoint when Jenny realized the marriage was over. Maybe it hit her when Brad forgot her birthday twice without any remorse.
Sitting alone in their bedroom waiting for him one night made it clear; she no longer loved Brad. She admired him still but the romance had faded away.
Do what you do best the best you can.
A few days later, Jenny asked, “Are you happy now, Brad?”
He looked up from his laptop with a frown. “Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Because,” she replied calmly. “You don’t love me anymore.”
Brad rubbed his forehead and closed his eyes. “Oh Jen…” he mumbled. “Can we talk about this in two weeks? I have a big deal… I want to give us my full focus.”
“Okay,” agreed Jenny. “Two weeks…”
“Please don’t give up on us,” he pleaded with tears in his eyes.
Jenny waited but got quite the shock! Just two weeks later he came back saying excitedly: “The deal went through!”
“Can we talk tonight?” she asked softly about their relationship.
Brad sat down casually on the couch crossing his legs saying: “We can chat now! So… do you want a divo:rce or not?”
