I’m a single father, a widower, and I’ve been bald my whole life. Hair has never been something I had to think about—until now.

For the past three months, I’ve been watching YouTube tutorials, learning how to do hairstyles for my daughter. It’s been a lot of trial and error, but today, I finally managed to braid her hair.

It’s not perfect, but looking at that braid, I feel so proud. It’s a reminder that love isn’t always about knowing what to do—it’s about showing up, learning, and doing your best. 

Here’s to every parent out there trying their hardest. This braid is proof: we’re doing okay.
